The UAE’s Green Vision

Embracing a Clean Energy Future

The UAE has consistently set the benchmark in the Middle East for its commitment to sustainable energy innovations. Central to this commitment is the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, an ambitious plan that outlines a clear roadmap for increasing the share of clean energy in Dubai’s total power output to 75% by 20501. The UAE also envisions infrastructure developments like the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, set to be the largest single-site solar park in the world

Driving Change with Education and Awareness

Education forms the bedrock of lasting change. In the UAE, initiatives have sprouted up to ensure that both residents and businesses are well-informed about sustainable practices. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and even regulations, the nation is nurturing a population that understands and values sustainability. One of such initiatives is the visionary project launched by Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) to transform 25% of Sharjah’s schools and nurseries into eco-conscious institutions by 2024. There are yearly exhibitions also promoting sustainability like WETEX and Dubai Solar show.
